Kind person

To the person who found my debit card in the street and phoned my bank thank you if you are reading this as this card could have been used multiple times before I realised I had lost it.

In my opinion, most people are kind and decent etc.The problem is that we usually only hear about the minority who aren't, so well done to the OP for restoring some balance.

Helen, out of curiosity, did the bank contact you to tell you your card had been found? I ask because I found someone's bank card some years back. I took it into a branch of the bank concerned and asked if they would see that it was returned to the owner. I was told they would keep it for a couple of days then destroy it! Given the annoyance and potential distress of losing a card I really did think they might have made a bit more of an effort. Glad you had a happy ending.

Without going into too many details I got a call from the bank within 30 minutes of losing it I was grateful but decided go home and phone the appropriate number for lost cards and I knew it wasn't a scam. All very efficent.
