Hi,Just wondered if anyone had heard of any vaccinations in Chiswick yet? I know Barnes & Ealing already giving appointments. Not asking for myself but 87 year old friend.

I enquired yesterday in person at my GP Clinic at Wellesley Road. I was told by reception they had heard nothing at all. She suggested I looked at the website but I could find nothing on it. She said there would texts send out.I’m reading and hearing so much about vaccinations starting in Barnes and Ealing and Hammersmith so the lack of any information or timeline Is a little concerning.I totally get that some areas will get faster access than others but I would have expected information on websites, reassuring emails and a clear briefing at GP receptions or even something in Chiswick W4.com.

The second shot is a big story. Pfizer vacine is based on a 2nd shot in 21days not three months. On LBC today a GP said she will have to contact 1100 people to cancel their 2nd shots. She posed the question when you have agreed a medical procedure with a patient should you cancel it. She seemed to think it was a shortage of vacine. Now we learn the initial supplies of THE OXFORD vacine are produced in Germany and the Netherlands. Why not here? I thought with Brexit we were going to get deals from all over. Looks like we failed on this initial manufacture of vacine.

I know of several different people, in other parts of London, that have already had both jabs. I have not heard of anybody in Chiswick, as yet.

Outside the Chiswick Health Centre where do the "at risk highly vulnerable" then go? Will there be safe airy spaces to SIT - then what happens. Is the person then given the vaccine there or is further movement required? Is there a phone or email contact to enquirer? These vulnerable patients must and cannot be exposed at this point, all of them will have been in isolation and totally shielded for months. HELP.

It is clear from the documentation that the vaccination digramme is practise-led and that CCGs cannot dictate how the vaccination programme will operate. It sure if the link below will work but it sets out clearly what the different roles are and that you are mistaken to put all the responsibility on the CCG.https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwisjubpjvntAhWbVBUIHZhXBUcQFjAAegQIAxAC&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bma.org.uk%2Fadvice-and-support%2Fcovid-19%2Fgp-practices%2Fcovid-19-vaccination-programme&usg=AOvVaw2VpQP1sQUa5dOrlRe1lOUi

Totally pathetic effort by Hounslow ccg. They start vaccinations more than four weeks after the rest of London. It would be nice if they chose somewhere accessible as many of those vulnerable people are currently shielding. Ideally a drive through service so carers can take them whilst minimising risk. This is probably too complex for the small brains of our local public health provider. Their services including COVID testing are all in the west of the borough with none of them readily accessible for those in Chiswick.
