Never signed up but having a quick look online possibly you have to sign up and then you can see whats available online and through apps on various platforms I will sign up as they are now giving 30 days free instead of 7. Would never pay for it so will cancel on 29th day

Just spoiled by the simplicity of Netflix. I just fancied a few of the old series .

Well ive just looked at the film choice Pretty much my thoughts before signing up Carry on ?,norman wisdom, the lady vanishes alog with the eagle has laned for a war fim and and the long good friday for a thriller with much the same thrown in. So if its for films id not bother, certainly not sbscribing after the 30 days. Ive only looked online and not on the App on my BT BOX

Hi MaureenI've recently signed my mum up for Britbox and it worked totally fine.  She wanted to watch Prime Suspect and the early Poirot's.  She also found an evening with Peter Ustinov.  I'd forgotten how charming / funny he was. What "device" are you using to watch it on?

We have Netflix - but can I just say if you want a really smashing film to watch today or record, BB2 is showing 'Shadowlands' at 2.45p.m. A box of tissues is recommended, true story about C.S. Lewis.

I think you do them a little disservice. Whilst the number of films does not compare to Netflix there are a number of Film4 originals, several of the earlier Hitchcocks, a few Powell and Pressburger and David Lean films and other British Classics.  As it showcases the British TV channels most of the content is TV programmes and there is a fairly vast range, although some can be found on other streaming apps or free ones such as BBC iPlayer or ITV Hub.  I have no trouble watching on my PC, Kindle Fire or iPhone.

There are quite a number of films on BBC iPlayer. Go to films on the menu, scroll to the bottom to find the A-Z and more listed like that.

I only watch films/programmes on my TV - just have freeview.

I agree with Simon.  Not everyone's cup of tea - I've just used Britbox to watch a Jon Pertwee Dr Who episode and seen the shop mannequins in Ealing Broadway spring to life and will get round to watching the many episodes of Blake's 7 that I missed the 1st time they were on.

Something that I hope may help just a very few of you...Yesterday I watched The Kid which was made in 1921 with Jackie Coogan giving a mesmerising performance as the little orphan..The day before I saw The Gold Rush. Both free on You Tube. Both masterpieces by any standard. Rembrandts of a bygone age....

Have also found a free site archive.org. Loads and loads of stuff including films. Haven’t had time to explore everything yet.

I haven’t done anyone a disservice. I was stating a fact. I use Netflix it is easy and accessible. I installed Britbox and every choice said there was an error try again !  I checked the reviews , there were 2 good ones all the other 200 were bad.  It does seem that Samsung smart TVs work well. Just my personal observations . I just wanted to watch Upstairs Downstairs again. I can live without it.

Same as Jennifer I only have Freeview but not fond of many movies, thoroughly enjoyed Queen live at Wembley tonight though.
