Turning onto Dukes Avenue when driving East along CHR ?

Just posting for a fellow resident who still drives ...She has noticed a painted white arrow has appeared in the junction ... so it is still legal to turn right into Dukes Avenue when travelling East along the High Road ?Thanks.

"so it is still legal to turn right into Dukes Avenue when travelling East along the High Road ?"Yes.  It always has been legal to turn right into Dukes Avenue, but TfL's contractors installed a temporary no-right-turn sign on 1 October.  It was removed on 3 November.

That right turn is legal and doesn't really need the clutter of another white arrow in the road to make it so.

Oh I dunno, Peter, I think Chiswick could do with a bit of clear signage seeing there is none these days.

If right-turners position themselves carefully on the arrow, there is just room for straight-ahead drivers in both directions to get past.  Otherwise jams are likely.  So it's a useful arrow.

Richard, not if there is a bus or van behind. And seeing buses coming the other way mean few will pull forward to the max.

The available width eastbound is sufficient for a bus, and I know of one Glebe Estate resident who was waiting on the arrow and was indeed passed by a bus on his nearside.  Paul, you seem determined to prove that right turns into Dukes Avenue are destined to be banned.  Is that so that you can say "I told you so"?  Some of us are trying to enable access to our homes by a reasonable route.
