Virgin Chiswick Park parking

Hello I am going here on Monday.  Is there parking and are there height restrictions? Thanks

Parking??? No, no, forget driving it's one almighty traffic jam - GET ON YER BIKE and if you havn't got one, borrow, beg or steal one. that's the only way in Chiswick!  Our local council, Hounslow, is postively discouraging any visitors to Chiswick and is trying it's utmost to close down all businesses and trading.  If I were you just forget the whole thing and visit a different Virgin branch - whule you're at it explain to the Virgin people they've set up business in totally the wrong place.  Such a shame but that's the way Hounslow Council and TfL want it!

Andy, AFAIK onsite parking is reserved for those working there with car park passes. Dunno whether whoever has invited you can organise a visitor pass?That said, given that work-from-home is being encouraged at the mo odds on that there are plenty of unused spaces there during the week. Just got to talk yourself past security and get someone to lift the barrier for you.

All very well but he's got to get there first!  My daughter, living in Brentford and working in Notting Hill/White City  area says the whole of W4 is one enormous stationery traffic jam!

Hi Andy - I'm assuming you need to drive and have a high vehicle. If you don't need to drive, Gunnersbury Station is opposite Chiswick Park. Also, if using public transport, buses from the Brentford approach generally do okay up to that point due to bus lanes - 267, 237 and H91. Also 391 or 371 (can never quite remember number). Finally, if you are looking for parking, there is paid (time limited?) parking at Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre which is a walkable distance or hop on 237, 267 or 391/371 from there.Hope you manage, whatever.

According to the Sport England Active Places database, 'This site has Parking'. I'm sure a call to Virgin Active would get an explanation of how to access it.

They have small section that members can use. There are alternatives but I won’t mention them as it would agitate the anti car brigade.

As I recall, if you need a car park to access the gym, you can ask for a car park pass from Virgin. Not sure if they work 24/365 though.

Agitate the anti-car brigade Russell?  Surely you mean might make it a little harder for the I'dforgottenaboutwalking brigade?  It is amazing the number of people who seem to think they can't go anywhere just because they can't drive there!  The number that relates to is far fewer than shout about it.
