How are carers able to get permits for restricted roads
I posted separately on a carer access Issue for an elderly lady on Hartingdon. Having spoken to a couple of her carers there is clearly a serious issue. Some people require 4 care visits a day and this is often carried out by different people. Applying for permits would not work. The carers often follow set routes visiting several patients along that route. The inability to travel from A316 down Hartingdon and then out at Kew Bridge is a major concern. Also although taxi drivers are exempt from the restrictions, Uber drivers are not, so are people now going to be forced to take expensive taxis.
