Toys for Children - where to donate ?

Watching the morning news and apparently there will be 1,000's of children this year who will not have any Christmas presents ! Does anyone know if there are drop off points to donate presents to these disadvantaged youngsters  ?

Sainsburys were collecting them last year but I haven’t checked yet if they are doing it again this year.

RimaMany thanks, but I remember that earlier this year a lady on Wavendom Avenue was collecting food donations and wondered if she was doing the same for toy donations, I would really like to help, as I'm sure that many others would too

Particularly important this year. Since the first lockdown there are a further 700k people below the poverty line, 120k of whom are children.

Loraine, the Salvation Army are doing a Christmas present appeal.

Sainsbury's collect food all the year round for Shelter and also for cats and dogs.

I would have thought that used soft toys would need to be sanitised and quarantined before being given out to children.

Hi Katie,Are there any type of food items that might be in short supply. I know foodbanks tend to get a lot of pasta..Please let me know, though I guess it might be seasonal items? Kind regards

Samia - sorry John is no longer wanting anything more for his charity.  They have no local storage space so I think the entire thing has moved to a different area altogether, into central London I think.  Thanks for your offer.  try the various other charities mentioned on this Forum.
