xmas 2020 - when 2 households become 3
(adapted from an olde play)Three households, all alike in distancingIn fair Britannia, where we lay our scene,From ancient fear break to new togetherness,Where covid blood makes unwashed hands unclean. From forth the fatal loins of these three clansA pair of star-crossed lovers take their life,Whose misadventured teenage merrimentDoth with their kisses bury a grandma's life. The fearful passage of their death-spiked breathAnd the continuance of their parents' rage,Which naught but their children’s end could remove,Is now the two hours' traffic of our stage. The which, if you with fitting masks attend,What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend.(many are struggling to make life and death decisions about this Christmas. Thank our lucky stars we're all free to make our own)...
