The whole  neighbourhood misses your cat Georgina. He was an icon, a legend, the Prince of the Road!He certainly will never be forgotten and we all have sweet and funny stories of him.For many years, as soon as he saw me approaching, he would saunter over and flop at my feet wanting a tickle. There were times when he would walk me to my door and when I arrived he would just turn around and walk away.He was probably the most photographed cat in the area. Often, I would see people filming or photographing him on their phones - even taking selfies!Sometimes, I would see him  lurking outside the Fish ’n’ Chip shop hoping for a tidbit!Once a neighbour texted me asking if I knew who this cat was who had followed him into the house. There was a picture of your cat firmly ensconced on the couch watching TV!Yes, I have many fond memories of this amazing creature. You were very kind to him and he had a good life - the freedom to roam, meet people, watch the world go by and he always seemed so calm and relaxed. In fact he was so popular that Meghan named her baby after him! (Joke)I've lost quite a few beloved pets. Believe me, when these little furry friends go it leaves a big hole in your life and your heart but I think of all the good times and it makes me feel better. One of my favourite authors, Kinky Friedmann once wrote:"People may surprise you with unexpected kindness. Dogs have a depth of loyalty that often we seem unworthy of. But the love of a cat is a blessing, a privilege in this world."
