Boiler repair recommendations.

Hi I have a vaillant boiler that is buzzing intermittently. Can anyone recommend a heating engineer/plumber please.

Some energy companies offer boiler/ch insurance at reasonable costs.I think mine with Scottish Power covers the entire system and is less than £20 pm.Also, have you bled your radiators of air and the pressure bar meter  should be showing about one and a quarter/half when boiler not in use.

My mother-in-law had one of these deals with an energy company. When her boiler developed a problem they said they were unable to send an engineer due to the pandemic so we cancelled the contract and got a local heating engineer to come and sort the problem. For Chiswick, Dave at Gasworks is very good.

Sorry to hear of your mum-in-law's problems,Frances.Sounds as if they fobbed her off.I had a problem with a radiator and the filling loop in the boiler over the weekend,I called SP and they offered me Mon, Tues or Wed appointment.A chap came on Monday afternoon and rectified the problem.

I had a similar issue . The Italian Plumber, 020 8945 7457, sorted it out. I'm very happy with the service and cost.
