Trump has confirmed that he not conceding. So perhaps not over yet.

Alan Clark ● 2182d

Think he should stand down gracefully.

It was said from a US correspondant this morning that the security services were allready switchig to biden before the latest. Cavalcade for biden incrased 10fold in 24hrs and a no fly zone over his house. They will move in and remove him if need be,no loyalty when it comes to security services and who is presidant in waiting

We are in live touch with our American friends who are understandably over the moon.  Fantastic news, though there’ll still be trouble ahead and the Orange One can do a lot of damage between now and January.

Alastair Banton ● 2182d

Brilliant - lets now see what is next -

Helen Bamberger ● 2182d

The buffoon has gone at long last. How did he ever get there in the first place? Hopefully things can only get better.

Brian Coyle ● 2182d

Great news. There'll be lots of toy-from-pram throwing by the orange buffoon, but that makes his departure that much more fun. Celebrate!

Colin Jordan ● 2182d

Time for the US to rejoin the Paris Agreement,  overjoyed.

As a US/UK citizen I was born in Reading in 1955 and moved to the US in 1967. I lived in London and W4 between 2006 and 2013 so follow W4 weekly. I remember celebrating Obama's 2006 victory at the American Bar in St James. The dread I felt 4 years ago made me sick. On Tuesday night I had another Deja Vu moment and nightmares through the night.  On Wednesday I started doing hourly downloads on Pennsylvania mail in vote results. By Wednesday night I was feeling pretty good. Then I started looking at Georgia. I was following 159 individual counties in Georgia and I thought that Biden would overtake and win with 3000 votes. I never thought Georgia would be the only southern state to go Democrat. Clinton won in 1992 thanks to Ross Perot siphoning off Republican votes. The demographics in states like Georgia and North Carolina are forever changing. Its amazing what happens when you attract educated people to a state. I don't think Biden will win North Carolina. The remaining votes are evenly split.Just like Obama, Biden has inherited a mess and a more divided country at any time since the Civil War. A sobering thought is 70 million people voted for Trump. It is going to be a bumpy ride. Meanwhile Trump is back on the Golf course.

Best news of the day. It’s been a bit of a roller coaster hasn’t it? Biden has been dignified throughout, while Trump has been the archetypal bad loser. When the American networks cut away from his live presser that was another nail in the coffin of the Trump presidency.

Andrew Jones ● 2181d

History will barely be able to believe one day that Americans actually voted in someone like Trump.

Claire Moran ● 2181d

If Trump had won I might have had to use my UK passport to return but things aren't terrific there so I am relieved. I tried to explain to my 8 year old why I did not like Trump. That is tricky since his dad is Republican, but doesn't like Trump. Trump will go down in history as America's worst President, and we've had a few. I did not support Bush, Reagan or Nixon. But it was based upon policy, not character. Nixon was just paranoid. Reagan was a simpleton. Bush was under control of Cheney.

Stephen Francis ● 2181d

Please remember that technically he could stand again in 2024. There are 70+ million who supported him this time. SCARY!

Jeffrey Cope ● 2181d

Great news. Now perhaps the planet and all creatures on it stand a chance of survival.

Rima Jones ● 2181d

Technically yes but demographics are shifting in the US. The Republican brand is shrinking. The electoral college is a factor and traditionally Red states are turning Blue. I also doubt he will be alive in 4 years. More worried about his spawn.

Stephen Francis ● 2181d

Need to find ways from the UK of lobbying him to reverse some of Trump's awful crimes against nature, including climate change, Rima. Fortunately there are many global organisations to join who will be doing this.

Claire Moran ● 2181d

Yes.  Indeed there are and my inbox is full of them!

Rima Jones ● 2181d

Great!! The fat orange buffoon  has been defeated. Just have to wait another four years to get rid of the blonde one.

Brian Green ● 2181d

I suspect the blonde one may cave in before then.  Enough time (2-3 years?) to make his memoirs saleable. Would be better for him to resign before pushed to ensure his extremely lucrative sales for his memoirs and speaking circuit opps. That's all he really cares about. Like Trump, actually working for the people of the country is a bit of a hassle.

...with Biden legal team already running scared.Supreme Court homes in on Biden election fraudsters

Michael Brown ● 2167d

Not going to happen.  Biden is the next US president.  OK, far from perfect but a lot better than that corrupt, evil, world-hating child that still continues to squat like some evil gargoyle in the White House.

Claire Moran ● 2167d

You are aware that Biden has a long string of inappropriate behaviour with children and women. Not something I would be so proud of supporting. Look it up on YouTube. Lot's of juicy footage from the last few years.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQ-YjGmpO4Q&t=186s&ab_channel=PaulJosephWatson

chris poole ● 2167d

Loraine, sorry, but this Biden chap is seriously dodgy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQ-YjGmpO4Q&t=186s&ab_channel=PaulJosephWatson

chris poole ● 2167d

No, sorry - the dodgy one is Paul Joseph Watson. Check him out. He's well-known for doctoring videos.
