Hounslow's Climate Emergency Action Plan

Now that so many of us can reduce the amount of time that we spend commuting and driving from one place to another we have a good chance of catching up on the other things that we should have been doing.https://www.hounslow.gov.uk/info/20006/environment/2063/climate_emergency

How about reducing child poverty?

“ To run a citizen engagement exercise on tackling the Climate Emergency through a series of workshops, following the Cleaner Borough model”LBH 2019I guess this means some dodgy online commonplace surveys?

StewartCompletely agree with you 👏

'Now that so many of us can reduce the amount of time that we spend commuting and driving from one place to another...'In my experience, when I use my car for necessary journeys, the amount of time spent 'driving from one place to another' has increased considerably because of the idiotic road closures that have been imposed in the Chiswick area and elsewhere.

Colin - that certainly applies to my neighbours living south of the A4.  One is having to travel with documents back and forth from Richmond, here and then up to beyond the Uxbridge Rd in Acton.  She is an elderly lady and utterly exhausted fighting her way through never ending jams and diversions.  Well done Hounslow - adding, not reducing pollution!

Box  ticked, pollution increased, some people happy!

Hounslow has succeeded in radically increasing pollution on main roads and around schools; they have caused traffic chaos and gridlocks for motorists; they have caused misery and confusion for pedestrians; reduced footfall on the high street and caused financial misery for traders and they have caused confusion and danger for cyclists. Well done LBH.  One incredibly rotten Borough.

Yes. And they do it intentionally. Here is what one LBH Councillor who has some relation to traffic and roads wrote on twitter recently:"Hounslow's motor vehicle traffic increased by around 20% over the last 10 years. That is unsustainable on many levels, whether the traffic is combustion engine, electric or whatever."
