Is Acton Lane now open??

Anyone know? LBH can't be bothered to answer.

Closed northbound, open southbound. So we can easily get to Sainsburys but can't get back!

It is open northbound as far as Sainsbury's so you can enter.  As it's also open southbound anyway, I don't see why you can't leave (I always leave by the other gate, so don't use it).

N no. So if you live N of CHR you have to sit in traffic all the way down CHR to Goldhawk (gridlocked today around lunchtime so plan 30-45 minutes) OR go via N circular & Acton to get back home.

Just tried to book a cab for tonight and they are not taking bookings.  They say a local journeys are taking up up to an hour so not worth it for them.  Yet another local business suffering.Took me for 4 hours to drive back from South Devon yesterday - a great run.  Then another 30 mins to get from Heathfield Terrace to Bath Road.....

Dont worry Anna. Cllr Lambert posted some pictures a few weeks ago of empty streets in order to prove that Chiswick had not been cut in half. He has been strangely silent on the topic since. I wonder why?There is no engagement with any local business, or residents for that matter. It is shameful.

We hear you Anna, north Chiswick has been cut off. I too had a problem getting a cab,  not interested so walked down to Turnham Green fortunately there was 1 black cab, more expensive but at least I made it for an appointment.

Roadworks apparently there until 2nd November. Having a huge knock on effect for us in the party shop, the barbers and beauticians. Nightmare! That said I am appalled at the way Thames Water staff are being treated and spoken to !!  And drivers going up the wrong side of the road and motorcycles/cyclists riding up the unblocked pavement. Frustrating yes but is what it is whilst they still cannot find the leak below. Business as usual for 1-4 Acton lane.

Indeed we live just north of the railway track so we easily can get to Sainsbury's over the bridge, but to get back this morning I enjoyed the full Goldhawk Road diversion experience. Sitting in the eastbound CHR traffic confirmed my suspicion that the hold up might be caused by the (temporary?) traffic light phasing at the junction with TGT.  It seemed to be allowing the same amount of time for traffic to come out of TGT as for that going along CHR, when now, of course, there should hardly be anything using TGT because it's now using CHR!  You have to laugh!

Bad news for you Carol but good news for the rest of us. The work is being extended until late November but as a result Turnham Green Terrace is being reopened.Terrible about how Thames Water staff are being treated but the level of frustration about the situation is very high.

Why isn't anyone going down Belmont Rd then under the Fishers Lane underpass? I followed the diversion signs that way tonight.

Micki We live in “North” Chiswick so yes getting there, as long as Acton lane isn’t gridlocked, isn’t the problem. Up until today we have to use the Goldhawk Rd diversion and double back on ourselves or use the North Circular to get home, neither of which is appealing so she will most likely be using Morrison’s in Acton for the weekly shop. Wondered who else has been avoiding Sainsbury’s because of this?I’ve told her TGT Is now “open” but she’s sceptical so we’ll see what’s in the fridge this week lol

Chris, the No Motor Vehicle signs at both ends of TGT have been removed, so Mrs J can go up there without fear.  They've left the advance NoLeftTurn and NoRightTurn signs on  CHR and Bath Road, but in the absence of the main signs these are of doubtful legality and can be ignored.
