Sorry, that should have said 'or' - replying on phone sometimes tricky. There are lots of rescue organisations nearby if they can't find a direct home, which obviously would be best as long as the vet is very careful. While rescue homes may not be ideal in these circumstances, pets are flying out the door at the moment due to lockdown but sadly frequently returned as people in lockdown just think it would be nice to have a pet without really thinking through what it involves. I would post on here with the headline 'Cat Available for Adoption' and also, a friend of mine who is on NextDoor says there is an animal rehoming page on there. Otherwise there are lots of cat rehoming pages on Facebook, but be careful, there are people who want to get a free/ 'cheap' cat to abuse or use for dog baiting. Any potential home should ideally be vetted, which a reputable rescue centre will do. There are some really, really nasty people out there who are great at pretending otherwise. Check out Battersea, Cat's Protection, Mayhew, HAWS, Celia Hammond, Wood Green Animal Home and many others.
