Best parts of Chiswick, Acton Green

So on my lunchbreak, catching up with W4. I see people suing eachother, complaints about roadworks, cars driving over pavements, PCN fines issued to the council......... On a brighter note, what are your favourite parts of living in Chiswick! Wife and I discovered Fortitude Bakery the other day, amazing muffins and little shortbread cakes..... we also love picking up incense sticks at Zen Maitri and the amazing ice-cream at Oddonis, also La Trompette is a michelen 1-star!

Tarantella and Fouberts. The Tabard (and theatre upstairs). Constantly bumping into people I know. The sense of a community.

The Tabard is a gem in Chiswick. The Bulls Head on Strand on the Green is lovely.

Favourite parts of Chiswick are STOG, Dukes Meadow , Chiswick Mall and Chiswick House/park road. Too many businesses and cafes on/ off the CHR to mention!

Favourite restaurant is La Trompette and best shopping roads are Devonshire Road and TGT, just hope these farcical restrictions will soon be lifted 🤞

My understanding on Devonshire road is some are doing ok and some have taken a hit. The hits im personally told are top hat cleaners and the pet shop. But those doing well may change with the weather and outdoor siting TGT has taken a dive in shoppers while it can look busy at peak times due to footfull from station. Some shops are closed,some have revised opening times. Like its pointless opening at 9ambut its an observation

Urban Pantry cafe on Devonshire Rd and Marmalade Jewellery on TGT are two of my favourites, both wonderful independent success stories for Chiswick.Top Hat dirty cleaners are also excellent and they repair clothes too.

I’m not a frequent customer of coffee shops but I do like Chief.  There’s a pleasant tucked away sort of ambience and pinball machines downstairs.  Friendly staff too, whenever I’ve been there.  Recommended.

Much more likely the decline in office working has driven the amount of dry cleaning down, my wife is down to 10% of the dry cleaning she was going before
