Applying for a residents parking permit

Hello community, I wonder whether anyone else is having problems with the parking permit process on hounslow.go.uk.  I have now been trying for over a week to purchase a residents permit, but I am continually directed to a page that is blank, and which has inactive links.  I have received no reply from the council or serco (who they have outsourced this service to) and am at a loss for what to do. Any advice gratefully received. Maria

You are best mailing Serco directly. I’ve been trying to find out what’s happening behind the scenes here. They either have a very archaic database and/or, they're running it all off an Excel spreadsheet.

At the risk of this becoming yet another anti LTN diatribe, try here: https://www.hounslow.gov.uk/info/20082/parking_permits/1122/residents_parking_permitYou will need to register and if it is your first permit, upload some documents.

Carl is right.  You do have to register with the Council in order to access these documents.  This will be a permanent registration requiring a password.

If still no luck, email your Councillor for advice.

Many thanks to everyone who responded. I kept emailing serco on the help desk address supplied on the site, and they got back to me on Thursday morning. I had the permit in my hand on Saturday morning. The team that emailed me back was:Permits TeamWLA ParkingUnits 20 -22 Whitby AvenueLondon, NW10 7SFTheir email is hounslow.permits@serco.com.Maria

I have off road parking so have not needed to buy a CPZ permit.  The Council already has my car reg no. etc etc. as I have a Blue Badge.  However, in the event that the crazy, unhelpful and unwanted Grove Park/SotG Streetscheme goes ahead, will I have to pay to get on their approved list and is this where I have to apply?      I am ever hopeful that having signed the latest Petition and blasted off many emails these idiotic schemes will be cancelled so I may continue to freely move in and out of my home.  I do not want to pay extra money in order to do so.  Equally, I cannot afford to pay huge fines.  Advice please.

No payment required (for now...)

Everything that's happened this year made me completely forget about renewing my permit and I think I'd assumed that we'd be sent a reminder about it.  Only reading this did I remember.  Went online and it seems that money has now been taken from my credit card but not until October and no sign of the actual permit yet.  Accept it's my fault, but why don't they remind us?
