This is surely a worry - that Trump has Covid. Much of the US rightwing media is already promoting a conspiracy theory about mail-in ballots, and as a result a large segment of the country is already set to reject the result if Trump loses. If the president is unable to campaign for a while, he will have another excuse to urge his supporters to question the validity of the result. That does not bode well, especially when Trump himself told violent rightwing groups to "stand by".

I now do have to believe he really has got Covid19 - he looked a very ill man without his spray tan. However, the next week will be pretty vital to his recovery.Two of my nephews, in the creative world, both married & living in the States with young families, can't stand Trump and say he is an embarrassment to the nation. On the other hand other people I know say Trump has done a wonderful job for the American economy and dread the far lefties under Biden getting the upper hand, as David L has explained on this thread. Personally I know nothing of American politics. On a purely personal and emotional basis I find Trump cringe making and a total abomination without a single humane or good streak and am amazed that so many Americans voted him as their President. The World's gone mad! Is there a good honest and dedicated leader of a country anywhere?

Far left politics is another thing, altogether, but democracy entitles them to have a say and influence as they see fit.David L is concerned for American rights taking a step backwords.
