BBC 4 Brilliant

I love BBC 4 for its brilliant animal programmes (freeview channel 9) but the revelations tonight about the outstanding contribution of black classical musicians, against all the odds, is truly outstanding.

Yes, we had that on last night.  A bit of an eye-opener to say the least and wonderful music.

Thanks for the recommendation.  I’ll catch up with that soon.  I agree about BBC4 - and the Beeb generally has many wonderful programmes.

The BBC is not what it was. It's overly preoccupied with audience size, which has led to some dumbing down. But it's still a national treasure. Is it safe in the hands of this government?

Agreed.  It was a revelation.  But will the classical music establishment take note, I wonder?
