Have we done something to upset Steve Curran?
We just having a read of the latest update on Hounslow Borough's covid infection rate - which seems to provide a degree of reassurance - see front page. However, one thing that did strike me was the quotes attributed to Steve Curran. Firstly he says that there was a rise in infections in Cranford, Heston, Hounslow and Chiswick. But then after the case numbers fall he adds, “I’d like to say a big thank you to the people in the affected areas, particularly Heston, Cranford and Hounslow."Perhaps the reason Chiswick was left off the list of places that he wanted to give a pat on the back was a slip of the tongue or a misquote. However, if he feels we are not up to scratch he really should explain to us what we have done to make us fail to meet his approval.According to the latest figures I've seen there were no cases at all in Chiswick in the most recent week - if totally irradicating the disease isn't good enough for him, it is hard to know what would be.
