TV warnings

As we are constantly being told at the beginning of TV programmes that there may be content that we might find upsetting, do you think there's any chance that any item that has Donald Trump in it could have a similar warning? Quite honestly every time he pops up spouting his nasty rhetoric and mangling the English language (profoundly accept?) I feel extremely nauseous, as for poor Abraham Lincoln's name being mentioned in the same sentence - for Heaven's sake, is there no end to this clown's vanity?

I am in full agreement with you- scary

While I agree that listening to DumbAss Donald makes deafness appear attractive, I'm not sure why you think he shouldn't mention Abraham Lincoln, who was largely responsible for triggering the American Civil War. At least so far Trump hasn't quite managed that, although if they are misguided enough to give him another four years, anything is possible.

'I'm not sure why you think he shouldn't mention Abraham Lincoln,'I credited you with more nous that that, claiming that he-Trump - 'has done more for black Americans than Abraham Lincoln' has to be some sort of sick joke. Not for nothing was he known as 'Honest Abe', not sure the words honest and Trump can ever be combined in the same sentence.

You're right, Vanessa, Trump is a stranger to truth, ethics, modesty and self-knowledge. He deals only in superlatives: every action of his is the greatest in history, everything he dislikes is the worst that's every happened in history. And the answer to your question, 'is there no end to this clown's vanity?' the answer is obviously a resounding No!

Richard, what is the basis of your claim that Lincoln was 'largely responsible for triggering the American Civil War'?  James MacPherson in 'The Battle Cry of Freedom' (1989) gives a masterly account of the causes of the Civil War.  I would think that the immediate cause was the attack on Fort Sumter and the long term cause the attempt to both entrench and extend slavery.

A bit like our own PM in so many ways.

It seems like the liberal left are out in force today. I would sooner have Trump in-charge, than lock her up Clinton, or sleepy perv Joe B, as president. Don’t forget the news progs you most probably watch i:e sky news, bbc news, itv news, cnn, are leftwing propaganda news channels and distort the truth basically, your listening and taking in leftwing propaganda or information that is partisan to the left.

Like I said on another thread, if you want Trump in charge you need to go to the USA, but hurry, because hopefully it is not for very much longer

Fingers crossed he will win and DRAIN the SWAMP he promised to do four years ago because he’ll need another four to completely empty it from all the corrupt filthy democrats. Mind you, if that clown Nancy Pelosi, has a sniff at being president then God have mercy on our souls. WW3 will be imminent.

It seems to have escaped the blustering demagogue's attention that the killings, demonstrations and urban chaos that various homicidal police officers have brought about by their actions are taking place under his presidency, not Biden's.
