How crowded is the tube these days?

Since lockdown I’ve made a few local bus journeys and done a bit of shopping around the CHR and have always felt safe even though I’m classified as somewhat ‘at risk’ of the Virus.But what about the District and Piccadilly lines?  Is rush hour still heaving?  Does the Piccadilly line still get crowded with Heathrow visitors?  What’s it like travelling to the West End and back these days?

After avoiding it since lockdown started, I've travelled on the tube as far as Sloane Square in the past week and found it perfectly okay. It wasn't rush-hour, though.

Can't help with Heathrow, but I had cause to make 2 short journeys recently from Turnham Green to Alperton (District and Picc Linea, change at Acton Tn), one was at peak time, the other off peak.There was hardly anyone on the off peak and even with the peak period, there weren't that many on board, so you could keep your distance easily enough.Mind you, there were quite few few not wearing masks, or worse still, people with masks which didn't cover both mouth and nose. (What is the point of that eh? Either wear one or don't).Anyhow, while I'm generally somewhat cautious about this whole virus business, and might baulk at travelling into central London at very busy times, I wasn't deterred overall.Btw, it helps if you're able to stand during the journey, since it gives more space by the doors to avoid getting too close to people seated.

I don't use it in the rush hour but outside those times there are usually 3-4 people in each section of the carriage (i.e. between two sets of doors), 90% of whom are wearing masks.

Same on the Southern Railway recently.I doubt there were 40 people on the fast 6.20pm service from Waterloo to Richmond...10 carriages too!

I have been travelling into my office in Holborn (District and Piccadilly) 3-4x/week since the beginning of July. It is getting busier but this morning (7:30 am) there was still a space between each seat and the same on return (6pm(ish)) judging by last week. Although not everyone is wearing their mask properly, in my experience, most (if not all) have masks on them.
