Is it better to be young or old at the moment.

The old are cautious and afraid of catching the virus and losing jobs. The young are having their lives turned upside down and losing jobs and university places.  Oh and that is just  covid related.  We have brexit soon.

At least we have something to look forward to.

And those in the middle are trying to hold the young and the old together while still worrying about their jobs.

And how rich or poor you are affects your health outcomes quite significantly Mick - we have left the EU.

'The United Kingdom (UK) left the European Union (EU) on 31 January 2020. A transition period is now in place until 31 December 2020. During this period the UK must comply with all EU rules and laws. Virtually nothing will change for businesses or for the public. There will be changes after the transition period, whether or not an agreement is reached on the new relationship between the UK and the EU.'https://www.government.nl/topics/brexit/brexit-where-do-we-standAt least the Dutch know.

We’re heading for the sunlit uplands of a no-deal Brexit. Although it was oven-ready apparently. All that and Covid 19. It’s not a great time to be young, old or poor or averagely well off. But the very rich will get much richer. Putin will be thrilled.

How do you know?  Don't bother answering - all guess work anyway - you could well be one of the unfortunates struck down by  Covid - trust not but you never know in this age of utter chaos!    Again, please DO NOT bother replying.

I meant to add the very last thing this country can afford is another lockdown - we have to get businesses of all types back up and running.    If ALL people would just obey the very simple instruction to wear a mask when inside public places (transport - supermarkets - shopping malls etc.).  Keep a good distance between you and others - keep using soap and water and/or bleach on your hands and avoid large gatherings for the moment until the virus subsides, as does the 'flu bug eventually, the sooner we can return to properly living again.  Young people are the future and it's looking pretty bleak for them at the moment but they must be encouraged to play their part in obeying these rules for a little while longer, if indeed they ever started!

"A transition period is now in place until 31 December 2020."After which our economy will totally collapse.

With all due respect, if you post expect a replyDisaster capitalists will make billions. Putin is thrilled that we have left the EU. But most people voted for it which I accept. But it won’t prevent me questioning people as to why they voted to leaveBut please DO NOT bother replying to this.
