One punch

I just watched a live interview on TV with a mother forgiving her son’s killer. I really don’t know if I could forgive someone like she has. He kept talking about himself and didn’t seem that repentant. He whinged about prison and that he didn’t have a ‘community’ near him.

To lose a child in such circumstances is dreadful. Perhaps she can only carry on by forgiving the killer rather than being consumed with the need for revenge for the rest of her life. I’m not sure, like you, that I could be like her. She might very well be motivated by her faith. Interesting thread.

Being able to forgive someone if these circumstances is, I'm sure, much better for the mental health and future life of the bereaved. Don't know if I could do it either, though.

Agree with you Susan also think what goes around comes around andoffenders will eventually pay in one way or another for the wrongs they inflict on others.
