STOLEN DOG - W12

This has just been posted on Nextdoor...Urgent - stolen dog wendell road. A female white/brindle whippet has just been stolen from the passenger seat of a builders delivery van on Wendell Road - it would seem by someone in a white ford transit van. We have altered the police - but any sighting etc let me know.

So sad.  Dog theft has gone up hugely all over the country and with so many pets being wanted over the lockdown period sellers are asking ridiculous amounts.  There is a very sad story of an elderly disabled man who was attacked by a mob of youths who beat him and stole his little dog, his only companion and the love of his life.  He cn't now eat or sleep.

This was posted on Nextdoor this morning (06.08.20)...My Dog Sprout was Stolen from Wendell Rd 5/8/2020 at 11.25am.Driven away in a white transit van partial reg NC57 with a cracked windscreen.Sprout is a Female Whippet. Spayed. Just read in one of the papers that dog nappers have been leaving chalk marks outside the homes where they think the dog is worth taking, was in another area but look out for any such chalk marks on gate, wall, pavement etc., near your home if you have a dog just in case.

Sprout’s owners are over the moon and can’t quite believe she’s home! This good news has made my day. My cat was stolen when he was a kitten and I got him back a week later. The most awful 7 days.

The owners (and kind neighbours/people) put tons of flyers along the A4. Someone caught them on dash cam and followed them to an address. I only got snippets of what happened because Liz was too happy and emotional to speak.
