Probably quicker and cheaper to record a greeting for your callers asking them to speak slowly and clearly with their message.I ran into similar probs when thinking I would change my dad's home phone. All we wanted was a clearer call sound , with bit more volume and a clear loudspeaker, and maybe a louder ringtone. After researching umpteem amazon reviews of all the latest phones realised this was going to be too difficult to solve without going through many disappointments, expensive too. So stuck with what we have panasonic from 20yrs ago. We use 1571 too, I don't think its regularly delayed but agreed sometimes can be a day out. I always pick up phone and look at received calls list when I get in if I am curious.
