I have two cars, three bikes and a little micro scooter, oh and my legs. I also am grateful for the huge options we have in the UK for public transport, train, bus, plane, slow train, taxi, mini-cab. Although there are huge comparisons to other mass-transit systems globally, (namely cost I feel)I honestly dont care anymore what the council do, they can do whatever they want to whatever strategy they think appropriate. I'll just pick whatever vehicle suits the requirement, be it shopping for large goods, little postal trips and getting out for an exercise. I found that this way of thinking was the only way to keep my sanity in these crazy times. What I do know is that the days as a student in London cycling down oxford street and across the city to hoxton, hanging along the side of endless buses wont happen again. Road rage didnt exist, cycling deaths, cycle lanes, congestion zones, diesel tax, bus lanes, CCTV, ah the list goes on and on, didnt have any of those. Wishing everyone a lovely sunny weekend and I hope that we can let it all go in our heads sometimes.
