The local Facebook and Nextdoor sites have been alight with people going bananas - as of course there did not have to be the merest hint of consultation thanks to the government's rules. This means even more traffic on to the benighted Twickenham Rd. However, the Syon Estate is being allowed to have ten functions at the end of this month which will attaract in excess of 400 people a time - people who will have no option but to feed out when leaving, onto an already jam packed Twickenham Rd. This situation of course previously exacerbated by the short-sighted and arrogant closure of Church St. No mention of the Duke's customers cycling or walking here, for peasants only it seems. Constantly making roads more difficult to access only means someone else gets that traffic, as it will not just disappear into the ether, let's just bear in mind roads are for vehicles and drivers pay enough for the privilege of using them.
