Coronavirus Poem - Appeal for Mental Health & Community Charities
Unseen But ThereRooted in the arid landHere I am, here I standSteadfast in my belief that I must fightWhen all around is crying outStark in the reality of the undergroundI must stand firm and hold my groundFor I want to live onTo hear the happiness in my surroundBut here I come, coming through your rootsThrough the very structureThat feeds your shootsLurking inside purpose boundCausing weakness without a soundIn some I have passed without a whisperBut in you I am causing havokShaking the foundation of your breatheCausing turmoil to your normFor now floating in the airComing closer by a touchI am aware that you are thereBut soon barriers will be builtYour freedom curtailedThrive no more on the sadness causedI stand rooted strong as beforeShazeeyah - 30th June 2020MSG: I would like to appeal to you to consider making a small charitable donation to a Mental Health charity or a Community-Based project as it seems evident that we as a society will increasingly need the services of such organisations to deal with the long term effects of the pandemic, such loss of family and friends, jobs, homes, on-going illness, abuse and more.Thank you for your consideration.
