Hygenists

Just been told from a friend of mine who lives in Richmond has just been advised that the price for hygienist work has gone from £56 to  over £100.. sign of the times!

My hubby and I both went to the hygienist last week, usual price £53 although no machines used - excellent job. Not sure how outrageous prices can be justified regardless of a pandemic, granted people will not have been able to work for ages - but then many of their clients may well be in the same boat.

One reason for price increases might be reduced throughput. Because of the slowing down of procedures working behind screens and with PPE, and thorough cleaning between clients, they see fewer people per day. An optician I know reckons it has halved the number of people she can see.

Tricky time for dentists and huge tests. Many are having to invest in air filtering system and new machinery and PPE. Not looking forward to my huge fiat visit as the water scalers can no longer be used. Back to the old fashioned scrapping.  Eeeek.
