Is fuse lodge open ?

Hi allI can phone tomorrow but trying to plan the day in advance so any clues before midnight much appreciated

That's a really nice write-up on this website which was written nearly a year ago.  So for us this is good news if it really is open as repairers are becoming few and far between.  I remember that the hours were being reduced.Has someone actually been into the shop or had something repaired there recently?

I thought it would be helpful to let the Community know that Fuselodge are are still active at their premises in Acton Lane ... close to the Southfields Road junction.A notice in their shop window states "Monday-Thursday... 9.30 - 3.30.The only concern is a second notice which says "Freehold for Sale"!But they must deserve retirement after their years of service.

Yes they fix computers. Please don't tell people as this place is one of Chiswick's great undiscovered secrets.

I get the impression that Fuselodge are reasonably content with the level of business they get by word of mouth, previous customers etc. and if that's the case what incentive is there for them to invest time and energy in a website?

Im not knocking them,i will be paying them a visit very soon.Just dont understand why so few businesses have no website.When i need something or info the first place of call is google. Its part of a sevice even if your doing fine yourself without one.Its not important,just my thoughts

They run a successful local business sorting out the electrical, electronic and digital needs of many of us. They might not suit you Julian , but f they're making a living and have happy customers maybe they are just the wrong fit for your needs.They are also the repository of every kind of obsolete fitment and connector you can imagine.

They really know their stuff Julian ,very helpful gents.Maybe they don't need or want more business.I've heard they've fixed high-end analogue recording kit as they have lots of discontinued parts.It's a fascinating little shop.

Duly noted"They don't need a website"I have to say i disagree. If you run a buisness you should atleast have a website. Even if its a free one which takes very little knowlege to set up and run. Not only does it help ones buisness to drum up moe buisness,but it keeps the good majority onlne upto date and easy for people to find out info. And buisness wise makes you look a bit more credible. That is my way of looking at it.

Fuselodge is open. They are an old fashioned kind of business - the kind of place that sadly has now gone- where they do repairs and have an enormous knowledge of all kinds of things. They don't need a website.

Yes, Julian but you are obvious very techie.  A lot of people aren't.  With Covid there must be a lot of people like us who haven't been able to get the youngsters in the family to help!  I also suspect that with a small business with something that many may not understand (be too busy to) you'll find that you can get someone to set something up but then they move on and nobody knows how to change anything let alone any codes/passwords etc.

No Philippa ,i put it on hold as not important at the momentGiven the buisness,you would think a website would be available and updated.  Googe says open at 9amLike many with a certain buisness model,just a name and phone number and i look elsewhere.Like a building company,i dont expext a name and number,i expect a website and updated.Its 2020
