There's absolutely no way he'll jump or be pushed. It makes my blood boil because the vast majority of us who work in the construction industry take our professional codes of conduct seriously - quite simply because otherwise our careers are pretty much finished.I bang on all the time about transparency and perception, as even if nothing 'dodgy' has gone on there's also no basis for people to potentially think otherwise. That's why I get on my high horse when people objecting to a planning application turn to social media and make allegations about how me or my clients have bribed a local authority, despite having zero evidence to support such claims. And furthermore I often criticise local authorities, when a member of the public makes such accusations, because on several occasions where I've seen such allegations being made and been directly responded to that person, when I've said to the local authority "are you going to respond to them ?" they've said "no", as though they couldn't care less that their employees are being accused of corruption. So of course Jenrick should go, but (and whilst the political colour of the government makes no difference to the point I'm making) the current government have utter contempt for the average person in the street and are a law unto themselves.
