Just 10 days left...

Hello,Just a quick reminder - we only have 10 days left to make the West London Peoples Theatre Company happen. We've already raised over £13k - 65% of our total and if would be incredible if you could help, either with a share, a like or maybe even a donation of £2! http://www.spacehive.com/west-london-peoples-theatre-companyHammersmith and Fulham Hive are considering backing us with up to £20k, but they need to see we have support, so it would be fantastic if you could at least like the page. The People's Company is a new theatre concept, created in Birmingham and now in London. A chance for all in H&F to create a new theatre production, tutored by top professional talent. Initially through online sessions and webinars, before we can come together again and make a brand new play with music about life in West London! The Maverick Theatre Company was established to increase access to the performing arts. It's won numerous arts awards and critical acclaim. The new company works on the basis that ANYBODY or ANY GROUP who wants to have a go at theatre - acting, dancing, backstage, music, social, finance, film or producing - can join in. No experience needed and you will be tutored FOR FREE whilst doing so by some of the top practitioners from the National Theatre, R.C.M., the R.S.C., etc.It is a unique project. A project that will support artists AND bring us all (eventually!) closer together! Please help if you can.Love (and manly hugs),Nickwww.MaverickTheatreCompany.comP.S. If you want to hear about the trials and tribulations of running a theatre company, have a look at 'The Maverick Diaries - How To Make a Crisis Out Of A Drama' on our Youtube Channel! https://bit.ly/2AXcd4X And don't forget our new 'Diploma in Creative Producing For Theatre and Live Events.' Thanks very much. Yes it’s been tough for many, but especially the theatre industry. I hope this project will bring a bit of relief for all of us! 😀

I thought you announced you made the money of £29,564 plus 1% over on the 16th Feb,"We did it" but below shows missing out by only a couple of £100 pound ?Now its £20,998 needed. Im confused between the two and what your asking for now and what was the past. But inbetween  posted in may on here about diploma courses on offer costing 2k a pop 2 months later. Then it was Hammersmith People's theatre for £29,564,which was raised but says its failed and now its West London People's Theatre for £20,998 and the same location. Noted the first was raised feb pre covid 19. Sorry, but im confused.A draggon dens confused

Heh!  Sorry for the confusion, Julian.  Yes, we amazingly managed to raise the full amount for the Hammersmith People's Company - and more - in February, at our first attempt.  But after all the excitement of reaching the target, one of the payments (an anonymous donor) was late arriving and Spacehive, the funding platform, would not allow it - so they 'failed' us.  Which was difficult to deal with, to say the least!  So we had to start all over again with a completely new fundraising campaign for exactly the same concept,  just as the virus broke and lockdown started. One good thing to come out of our first attempt was profile, so some of the things we would have had to pay for first time round are now being been donated, so the overall costs for the project came down.  We changed the name from Hammersmith People's Company to West London People's company mainly to differentiate the separate Spacehive appeals.  But also, as a result of conversations on this forum, we wanted to widen the opportunity to those who live, work and play not just in Hammersmith, but Chiswick and West London too.The Diploma in Creative Producing is a more formal qualification and completely separate from the People's Company project.I hope that helps!  Please let me know if you've any other queries. I hope you're not "out"! as the say in Dragon's Den! Raising money in this climate is not easy!  Even though it's going to be a great show, I think, if we make the target. Thanks, Nick.
