Wood burning stoves

Are these warming and comforting wood burners permitted in W4 and the rest of Hounslow?  I know several people who have them bought years ago.  Can they legally still use them?   If not, what to put in their place?

You can smell wood burning here and there on a walk around W4 on a Winter evening.

There are new rules coming in a couple of years time that outlaw all models except the cleanest.  Existing ones will still be legal for now. They are also banning the sale of wet wood.  You will only be able to buy dry wood in places like garages in the future.  That may make them more expensive to run.

Was a while back when I read something about fitting a chimney filter to existing models so that they could continue in use.
