Isn't it the case that there are two boring machines one heading south from Acton (the sewage works by Warple Way) and the other coming north which is probably the one at St Paul's now. I think they gave them female names - something like Rachel and Charlotte. Hopefully at some point in the near future they meet up - if they don't someone will get fired!The northern machine probably will have passed under Chiswick by this stage but no idea where it currently is.

Thanks for that - it shows I was talking complete nonsense. I did wonder why there was very little complaint about tunnelling under Chiswick.
