Moving pics from Olympus camera to Microsoft computer

Can't understand what has happened.  Last week for he first time in ages I took some photos on my Olympus FE-320/X-835/C-540 digital camera which I was able to load onto my computer and forward in an email.   Just taken some more pics but now when I connect camera to computer, using the USB cable as before, up comes "PC" on the camera which I click OK and then .....????   What has gone wrong?

"up comes "PC" on the camera which I click OK and then .....????"And then what?  If nothing appears on the computer screen, go into File Explorer and look for your camera there.I had some problems with connecting my camera some time ago, so now I take the SD memory card out of the camera and plug it into the card slot on my computer.  Your camera has an xD card probably; they are less common, but if your computer has a multi-format card slot, it might accept it.

Richard many thanks for your help - it partially solved my problem.  Somehow I managed to load the pics from my camera to a weird and wonderful, never to be found again Album video type thing on my computer.      My long distant, long suffering, nephew is trying to get my camera accepted by my computer - when PC was up-graded to 10, it altered far too may things and disallowed my camera!  I had sent you a thank you by PM (private message - why are they called DM?)  Jennifer
