Anyone on Vodafone

Vodafone are helping power research into C-19 therapy. You can help by downloading an app called Dream Lab. Then when your phone is charging Dream Lab will use its'computing ability to power some of the research. The more people sign up the more powerful it will be. As I understand it Vodafone will not charge for the data used. See https://www.vodafone.co.uk/mobile/dreamlab. They do cancer research as well but I selected C-19 research

Using computing ability of your phone, really?? I dont think I will go near this app. Running the risk to sound like Mr.Brown, but no no no!!

Looked in their website, they want access to photo and media folders, next thing they ask is probably to do the same thing with you Computer, I personally deny every app of access to anything they don't need to function, if they don't work then it is not for me!

Strange - mine did not ask for any permissions and does not have any access to the rest of the phone. Try downloading it and if it does not ask for permissions then you are doing something that could benefit all of us. Phones are really now sophisticated computers

You don't have to be on Vodafone to install the app, and you can limit the amount of mobile data the app uses (it works with wifi too). I don't understand why the app requires permission to access folders but it's stated in the FAQs that this is only on Android phones.

I am on Android and it did not ask for any permissions and doesn't have any!
