Try ocado zoom. if you have an ocado password/login then you can use it. Same day delivery with a pretty wide variety of products. Just need to log in earlyish (eg before 8am) and you'll get a slot for later that day.

Thanks Rob

Managed to get my first slot with Sainsburys for a long time on Sunday.  I asked the delivery driver if he was flat out at the moment and he said no, demand had halved in the last couple of weeks.  Worth checking out.  Also on The Chiswick Calendar website there is a list of local retailers doing home deliveries.

Oh, and this is now available in Chiswick.  Only 25 items at a time, I think but better than nothing:- https://rapid.waitrose.comHaven't tried it yet, would be good to get feedback from those who have.

Hi, we used the Rapid Waitrose scheme last week and it was excellent as you can choose your time for the same day if you like and the cost was £5Very decent choice of all groceries as well

Paul Fisher ● 2380d

Thanks, Paul, that's good to know.

Deliveroo and Uber Eats  have teamed up with some supermarkets and local convenience stores ie M&S Coop and others and will deliver small quantities of groceries.

There is this list, too, as published here on chiswickw4.com though it has slipped down and off the home page - shops doing delivery, takeaway and online:http://www.chiswickw4.com/default.asp?section=info&page=coronachiswickshopping002.htm

Vote with your feet, Jon. And let everyone know why.

Susan Kelly ● 2379d

Thanks SusanMy kind neighbor sent a complaint, got a email ,company policy etc, requested a phone call same old story if u haven't used us in the last 6 months etc etc e no delivery

Jon morris ● 2379d

Best to shame them on social media. It's the only language they understand.

Susan Kelly ● 2379d

This isn't fair to Ocado.  Ocado say John hasn't ordered in 6 months, Jon says he's ordered once a month ago so, with the best will in the world, he can hardly claim to be a regular customer.

Viv Griffiths ● 2379d

VivI been very illI didn’t need a big shop as 4 months in hospital I did use Ocado Zoom all the time. They emailed me to say I was the government list of vulnerability Hence I wanted to order my food.

Jon morris ● 2379d

Have to say that vulnerable list trumps 'regular'.

Susan Kelly ● 2379d

I'm sorry to hear that Jon, that puts a different complexion on it.

Viv Griffiths ● 2379d

That’s ok VivYou weren’t to knowBut there is sick and disabled people who use Ocado They need to listen to what people say not just say ur not on the database and find u are and then say ur not have ordered in 6 months , then end the call.
