Capt Tom - £25 million +++

"PIERS MORGAN: Why Captain Tom's humility, kindness and resolution utterly shames the repulsive greed, selfishness, and narcissism of entitled attention-seeking twerps like the Beckhams, Meghan and Harry"On this issue I completely agree with him, Capt Tom is a Hero yet none of Chiswicks prolific posters have acknowledged this wonderful man's achievement- wonder why that that is ?

New World Order PR stunt and robbery. I doubt if Captain Tom even has a computer.

Pity Prince Harry, instead of congratulating this amazing man and at the same time saying that the pandemic is all an exaggeration in the UK, couldn't do something similar.

I'm sending him a birthday card, a few Forumers want the elderly to pop off.

I’m glad we are still locked down. The last thing Capt Tom needs is to be besieged by paparazzi. Hope he can keep his cool and admirable sense of perspective.

He's not the only nonagenarian doing this sort of thing!  I just hope they don't get too competitive.

I'm repulsed by Piers Morgan. He's a total hypocrite, extolling the admirable captain Tom just to have another dig at Harry and Meghan. Using his TV platform to pursue a vendetta against the couple is the worst form of bullying. I'm no great fan of theirs, but it's very disagreeable to observe how once again the media big up their "celebrities", only to kick them repeatedly after they've fallen from their pedestal.

Great effort by Captain Tom, but such sadness that it frames the NHS as a charity case that needs this kind of support in the first place.

Paul Scullion ● 2388d

I'd rather compare Captain Tom with the Duke of Westminster, the UK's second richest men, who with great publicity donated £12.5m to the NHS a few days ago, which is about half of what Captain Tom raised by walking round his garden.
