I genuinely don’t understand you guys. The original post could have been interesting or, if not, best ignored. But no - it became a private slanging match among people who seem to know a lot about each other but don’t care a great deal for the W4 community. Why don’t you simply form your own WhatsApp group and insult each other privately? Leave us out of it. Thank you. And thanks to all those who contribute more thoughtfully.

Fair point Beryl. Initially I was merely responding in a slightly rakish mode to a particularly loony thread which had no pretensions of any serious constructive point. It’s all too easy to get sucked in when Claire intervenes hard because sometimes she, like many others at times, fails to gauge the tone. I assure you though, that I have no knowledge any others on this thread barring what I observe on this site. That’s all from me on the subject, no doubt you’ll be pleased to hear!

I agree Beryl, and I get what you were doing in your first posting, Richard.  But some people can be a bit touchy and seem to enjoy nothing more than to go in with all guns blazing at the slightest provocation.  I think being in lockdown might be exacerbating these tendencies!  But it’s so boring for the rest of us, sifting through posting after posting containing nothing but repetitious abuse.  And that’s all from me, too.  Probably.
