Hopefully. this won't be live streaming from the church as the Archbishops pronounced that this was banned last Tuesday as people had been gathering at closed places of worship. St. Thomas the Apostle, Hanwell is live-streaming a full range of services from the vicarage garden including a Maunday Watch overnight.

According to a letter in yesterday's Times, the A-Bs issued their proclamation on March 24, and two days later the government made it clear that churches COULD be used for live streaming.

Then the Archbishops need to review their statement as all of the clergy I know are following Canonical Obedience in that, until there is clear instruction to the contrary the proclamation forbidding live streaming from inside a church building (which was not issued until Monday 6th April) is extant. Please, if you have anything to the contrary post a link and I will pass it on to local clergy.

The Times letter (from the Rev. Canon Andrew Lenox-Conyngham of Edgbaston) quotes the Health Protection (Coronavirus Restrictions) (England) Regulations 2020, Regulation 5 as stating that churches could be used for live streaming.
Thank you for the link Richard. Sadly the ill-judged (given that most churches are plastered with 'No Public Services' notices) 'dictat' from the Archbishops and the Bishop of London post-dates the government advice. Most clergy (all CofE clergy) swear Canonical Obedience so will follow the 'dictat' unswervingly.
