Testosterone

Interesting article in the Times this morning about why more men than women get bad Covid-19 symptoms and why more men than women are dying. Among other reasons, a professor of immunology said that testosterone is an immunosuppressant. Who knew?!

But I thought that testosterone levels decrease as men get older but older men seem to be at more risk from this virus than women of similar age.

Yes, I wondered about that. I guess even older men still have a lot more testosterone than any woman.

Yes, disproportionate BAME deaths both here and in America. I would be interested to know if the same is happening in other countries.
