There has been a door to door caller saying they are from the princess trust, we have contacted princess trust and they do not do call outs. They also asked if we have a dog. We have reported this to the police, please do not give any information over to them and please report to the police if this happens to you.

Willow, thanks for the heads up.There's The Little Princess Trust andThe Prince's Trust, but no Princess Trust that I could find or know of, it's quite dreadful the proliferation of scams in these challenging times.

I would be very on your guard with your property given they asked if you have a dog or not. That kind of sends alarm bells ringing given the odd question. Question..What were they asking for and for what, and what was the dog question in any relation to why they were at your door.

I had somebody round here this afternoon who said they were from The Princes Trust (as I heard it). For a start he was almost on top of me on the doorstep rather than on the footpath so immediately annoyed me. He mentioned dog walking and did I know anyone that might need that service.....

We had the same - on Friday 3rd April in Grove Park we had a young man going door to door claiming to be from The Princes Trust. He was offering dog walking (‘do you have a dog?’ - for future burglary info?) and asking for on the spot donations. Called the police who despatched two cars quickly but not sure if they caught him. Don’t be duped!
