Any friendly and trustworthy plumbers still working, who can work on a failed boiler?

You could try Dave at Gasworks. Think I have seen his van around locally recently 07809 712 904

I used him to fit some radiators many many years ago. He sent around some trainees, that messed me around, turned it into a stressful job, and then it sprung a leak on Christmas years eve. So I'm not really keen on him again :(

Do you not need a heating engineer if its a gas boiler possibly, and being Gas Safe registered ? Not knowing the type of boiler and the fault that is to say.

"I used him to fit some radiators many many years ago". Sorry thread got messed up, delay in the reply. I'm referring to Peter from KCS.
"Do you not need a heating engineer if its a gas boiler possibly, and being Gas Safe registered ?'Yes it's a gas boiler, expect it needs someone Gas Safe. My normal plumber who read the description of the problem says it's probably a faulty pressure release valve. But he isn't working right now.
"You could try Dave at Gasworks."Thanks, not tried him before. I'll try that today. Thank you.
AFAIK Peter Earles has always worked on his own and has never used 'trainees' (well not in the 10+ years I have used his services).

Pete has had a trainee with him now for about 6 months, maybe a year thinking about it. I highly recommend the work he's done for us over the years.

Thanks Sarah, must have been over a year since I needed his services then (how time flies).
Dave of Gas works is Gas Safe registered, he services my boiler and can recommend him as a reliable competent engineer

My situation was over 10 years ago. Once I have an issue, I don't tend to go back.
Thanks, Dave is working and have booked him in.Thank you everyone.
