Hi Everyone - Thank you so much for your generous contributions so far...we have at least 8 carrier bags and the first collection from HQ is happening tomorrow morning so there is still time to drop off! This Chiswick drop off point at 98 Wavendon Avenue W44NS will remain in place until further notice, with regular collections being made to take back to Hounslow Foodbox HQ and assemble into care packages. It is amazing and uplifting to see how kind people have been so far- thank you so so much and please spread the word and keep the donations coming! Thanks

Hi KenIt’s possible to make an online donation with Gift Aid through the Charities Aid Foundation website. https://www.cafonline.org/my-personal-giving/start-giving/donate-nowThe best way to find the Hounslow Community Foodbox is search by their registered charity number 1170666.They will also try to put a donate button on our webpage that will link to CAF or JustGiving soon too. Thanks so much, Katie

Thanks everybody for your donations.Just to say, I did a run to Costco today to buy the stuff we're most short of - longlife milk, pasta sauce, canned veg. All good except canned veg - all Costco could offer was sweetcorn (which I bought) tinned tomatoes and baked beans (which we have plenty of at present). What we'd really like is canned potatoes and things like peas and carrots so if anybody has those lurking at the back of the cupboard they's be especially welcome.

Guy - I should be able to source potatoes, peas and carrots. They would be in larger tins which you could then decant into smaller portions.Let me know.

Thanks David but catering packs don't work because we don't have the facility to decant. It's a small building and we're limiting on site volunteers to 2 at a time, for obvious reasons.
Thanks for the inf , Ken. My wife has an online account with caf, so i've managed to make a donation very easily

Think outside the box, Guy.It could be decanted before it gets dropped off.Every single offer I've made to you publicly and privately to help has been turned down.
It should be easier to fit the food into the panniers of your bike too like that David, good thinking. :-) Seriously though, well done for offering. I'm sure recipients of the food bank would sooner get a huge can of food, than no food. Likewise, good on you for those volunteering for the food bank too.
