Just-In-Time Food Supply Chains
Seem to wobble a little with expected fluctuations for Christmas and other Bank Holidays. Not surprising they are struggling with distortions generated by the coronavirus outbreak. Now millions of school children not getting their school dinners which will switch more demand for food the high Street. Ditto with restaurants, pubs and cafés closing. And all that alcohol demand switching from pubs and restaurants to the home. Perhaps same amount of food/drink in total but, at the moment, incorrectly prepared, packaged (draught beer at home anyone) and in the wrong place for the home market. How long will this take to level out?
