It's the speed at which Coronavirus spreads that is the problem, Flu being slower to pass on the hospitals were able to cope.

There is a vaccine for seasonal flu,  there is no treatment or vaccine for this horror show yet.

That's right, you can still get the flu but no one tries to stop the spread, like doctors waiting rooms and hospitals the waiting areas are breeding grounds.

As the OP states, every winter thousands die in the UK of winter flu. But what point is the idiot trying to make now?I mean, how much worse would the toll from winter flu be if half our existing intensive care unit beds have to be given over to Corona patients?Fact is, this Corona Virus is ADDING to the overall risk, not replacing it (whether at a higher or lower level)

If we all take no action and treat this like regular flu then the number could be 250,000 to 500,000...So let’s ALL do the nation a favour and stay home (unless really necessary)... and keep the number LOW by being smart and thoughtful... NOT foolish and selfish
