The Swan Pub Closure

Really disappointed to read this. A pub closing down on St Patrick's Day is an abomination. Hopefully it will only be temporary and brief at that. Not sure whether to be cross or pleased to read that people are still going to other pubs in Chiswick. Walking along the High Road yesterday evening I got the impression things were quiet but it wasn't totally deserted. One thing I spotted in the article was a dark but amusing visual pun in the photo. Don't know if this was deliberate but it made me chuckle.

I think The Swan should be congratulated for taking the advice seriously and putting the health of everyone before their business.  Unlike The Duke of Sussex which was rammed with youngsters at 6pm last night, shame on you Greene King.

Bless the Magpie and Crown in Brentford which has enforced a 'pensioner's only hour' now each day and has restricted their hours.
The sign outside says 'We're not big enough for mass gatherings!"
I hope that small independent friendly places like the M&C can weather this unprecedented storm.

I think there's an oldies Supermarket Sweep at Sainsburys early tomorrow morning.  Could the Tabard please open between 8am and 9am so that we can all get past caring by the time we get home!
