Could anyone recommend a MWAV - we have several unwanted items of furniture which need taking to the dump.

How about putting them on www.trashnothing.com or freecycle or one of the other websites? The British Heart Foundation picks up furniture for reuse as do other charities and if the items are small petitmiracles in W12 will also pick up items that they refurbish and in use in classes and upcycle. Take a look at their website. The aim is to keep items a new or a greater lease of life. Our Waste Authority: www.westlondonwaste.gov.uk has lots of info on their newly updated website. We are now aiming for a circular economy rather than the linear one we have had in the past. Recycling is really an end of life use and Reuse is better. Nowadays you have to check whether whoever takes your waste away is a licensed waste carrier or you and the waste carrier can be fined. There are too many incidences of waste being dumped/flytipped just around the corner or payments bring made and waste not collected. The Environment Agency has a list of licensed waste carriers on their website so you can check.

Thanks Philippa, these sound like great alternatives, I’ll do some research.
