Clothes Recycling at Sainsbury's

Does anybody know the collection schedule? I've brought stuff a couple of times only to find the clothes bins full to bursting and an instruction not to leave donations if the bin is full.

If in LBH put in carrier bags inside one of the recycling boxes for weekly kerbside collection.

There's one next to the firestation (actual station not the bar) on Heathfield Gardens.

Thank you both. I'm not in LBH. I will use the Heathfield Gardens drop off as an alternative but if it is collected by the same organisation the concern would be that if one was full the other would be.

Thanks Philippa. The problem with charity shops is it difficult to park close by in Chiswick. I once got a ticket when the sole purpose of my trip was to donate stuff so never again!

Ealing also collect textiles.Please put in clear or white plastic bags on top of or next to your blue wheelie bin and tie shoes together in pairs.

Yes Anita that does dampen the enthusiasm.  I used to take stuff in to charity shops when I was working in the High Road.  Sometimes charities will collect.  I remember one of them having an initiative where they would collect from an office - so you could choose a day when everyone in the office would bring something in.  It's good if it is seasonal because charity shops don't have much storage space.

"The problem with charity shops is it [is] difficult to park close by in Chiswick."The ones with a yellow line outside tend to be easier, as it's OK to stop and unload outside a shop between 10am and 4pm provided you avoid zebra crossing zig-zags, bus stops and any all-day loading bans (double yellow kerb marks).  Cancer Research UK at 392 CHR is a problem as it has zig-zags and a bus stop outside it, but their shop at 278 CHR is OK, as are both the Oxfam shops.
