ST: "Coyle also won't answer the question as to whether he is a holocaust denier."I am reminded of possibly the greatest heckle in the history of theatre.Mike and Bernie Winters (a kind of British Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis) were appearing at the Glasgow Empire, a notoriously hard audience, esp for English acts ("If you're good they let you live" - Eric Morecambe).Anyhow, the curtain opened to Mike alone on stage, doing his usual intro, playing his clarinette. To absolute silence. For minutes on end. He desperately waited for Bernie to appear, to release the tension, but the minutes seemed like hours, as the stone-cold silence from the audience continued.Eventually Bernie's cue arrived, and he stuck his head round the curtain at the side, displaying his trademark toothy grin.At which point, a lone voice from the stalls called out:"Flip me, there's two o' them".[He didn't actually say "flip" - you can probably guess the real word.]
